I get this at the Sacramento Farmer's Markets, but my dad moved to Colorado and really missed the California Olive Oils. I sent him a bottle of this oil and he was in heaven! It has a strong taste of olives, cloudy, and even olive 'dust' on the bottom - To me, this is a sign of quality you can NEVER get at a grocery store! This oil is best for pesto, dipping bread, and fresher meals--as the taste diminishes with cooking. As a 'foodie', I have never found a better oil! Thank you!

OK for Cooking - Carol Baldasare - Arizona
We like a full flavored olive oil and this one sounded like it might fit the bill; however, it has a rather acidic, tangy taste we don't particularly like. In an pinch I've used it on salad and it was OK, but I wouldn't use it as a dipping oil. It's fine for cooking, but there are other less expensive olive oils that are also good for cooking.

Bitter - McLovin - Texas
I was really disappointed in this product. Although the aroma is very nice, fresh and green smelling, there is a distinct bitterness in the flavor. This is not the peppery finish you find in good olive oil. I like the peppery finish. This is bitterness, plain and simple. I recommend that you try Barbera Frantoia Extra Virgin Olive Oil, 33.8-Ounce Bottle (Pack of 2) instead. It has all the good attributes of the Bariani with none of the bad.
